The Pontchartrain Hotel

I decided to go down to the Pontchartrain Hotel's bar tonight because they have free internet access, and they are on the same block as my beloved girlfriend. Within 3 minutes of sitting down and opening my computer, I was approached by a woman who I can only assume was a prostitute, asking if I was going to be looking at my computer all night. I told her I was indeed simply going to browse the internet all night. I wonder if web surfing at the Pontchartrain is some sort of New Orleans code for "I needa' hooker real bad". If so, this "free" internet access is actually quite pricey.

64-bit Love

I've finished building my first 64-bit PC. Needless to say, it is incredible. It kind of bothers me that most of the apps I have to use are 32-bit x86 relics, but this dual-core beast cuts through them like butter. And there are pretty lights in the case!

Overloading Bandwidth

I am imaging (meaning deploying computer software packages, which include everything from the OS to the applications) about 8 computers right now. I am using so much bandwidth. Something like 4.2 GB/min. That is a lot of data.

Today we cleaned our office at work. Everything looks wonderful except my desks, which somehow are messier than ever.

My New LJ

Here is my second take at LJ. Welcome, friends, to a little online piece of Juss.
